First of all don't buy into all the hype. Advertisements and flashy packaging haven't done anything for this face. In fact my acne got much worse into my 20's and even into my 30's.
I had to step back and take a deep breath before realizing what my skin really needed. It was out sheer desperation that I bought all of those fancy products in the first place.
Step 1
What is you daily regimen? More importantly what is in your daily regimen? If you can't pronounce the ingredients then why are you putting them on your skin. Remember what you put onto your skin also gets absorbed into your skin and into your body. You can have long term effects from using harmful ingredients from immune problems to indocrine and I know first hand with an autoimmune disorder of my thyroid.
Step 2
What are you eating? Hidden food allergies or intolorances to food may be to blame. It may take years to develop a food allergy but they can wreak havoc on your overall health. Is it Milk protein like cistein or whey or could gluten be the culprit? A blood or saliva IgG test might hold the answers you seek.
You may benefit from a good internal cleanse and sometimes an over growth of bad bacteria in the gut can be to blame.
I was not interested in treating my symptoms but getting rid of the problem for good. A multi approach is best and some trial error is just a path you must be willing to endure. If your like me you have already spent a small fortune so what do you have to lose. I look at it this way, if it can't harm me and it can't make matters worse why not give it a try?
As with most natural cures they take more time that conventional treatments but the results are lasting.
Milk thistle, large amounts of B5 like pantothenic acid, baking soda, raw organic apple cider vinegar like braggs, lemon, and magnesium are great for cleaning the liver.
- Baking soda can be used as a scrub by mixing a minute amount of water with it.
- ACV can be diluted with 1 part acv and 1 part water. It is a good toner that can fight bacteria, tone the skin, heal old spots, even skin tone, balance ph, and absorb oil.
- lemon has citric acid and is good for exfoliating the skin.
- Egg whites heal, tighten and rebuild the skin, apply slightly beaten egg whites, apply with cotton, let it dry then remove with a wash cloth and very warm water.
- Oatmeat cooked, cooled oatmeal, use as a mask. It will draw out impurities
- Tea tree oil anti bacterial. use as a spot treatment or one drop to 3 drops of jojoba oil for a moisturizer.
- Aloe fade marks, prevent scars, and heal spots
Hormonal, and digestive problems seem to be the culprit and go hand in hand with adult related acne. Hormonal imbalances can be caused by digestive problems which can be caused by food intolorances and damage to the intestinal lining over the years. look at what is in our food, added hormones, preservatives, all kinds of chemicals to make it palatable and look more presentable.
If you would like to build on this topic feel free to do so and I will add input as well.
